Summer is upon us! We think it’s one of the best times to rejuvenate your space and your style. This summer is all about making your space your own. Gone are the days of everything matching, and strict rules regarding which period your pieces are from. In Arizona, we spend a lot of time indoors during the summer, so it’s all about finding items that will turn your home into a summer oasis. Keep reading to find out what trends this summer is bringing into our homes.
This summer, bring the outdoors in. Cacti and succulents are popular in Arizona because we take such pride in our desert scenery. Added bonus, they’re easy to take care of. However, if you’re anything like us, we want something even easier to care for. That’s why we’re loving the artificial floral trend right now. We love Boxwood as well, and use it in almost all of our vignettes. Boxwood trees add a touch of elegance to any room they’re added to.
Beautiful deep reds, bright blues, and emerald greens bring charm to a room. Jewel tones are vibrant and add much needed color to the same old beige we’re seeing these days. This summer, bring in jewel tones with accent chairs, or throw pillows.
Antiques Without Rules
No more playing by the rules! This summer, expect to see pieces from different periods coexisting in the same room. This will bring in that much desired “fight in design” we love at Avery Lane. Being a consignment store, we’re lucky to have so many antiques, from so many styles. It’s easy to find something that will play nicely in a room, or bring in diversity. This is a great time to take a chance and buy that piece of art, or accessory that you wouldn’t normally buy.
We’ve been kind of obsessed with the nail head trend for awhile now, and it’s for good reason. Nail heads can really change the style of the furniture they’re on. They can add a rugged look to a rather elegant piece of furniture.
We’re looking forward to all the new pieces that will come through our doors this summer. We’re even more excited about the ones leaving to make a statement in your home. Visit our website to see our inventory, and call us at 480-991-0700 if you have any questions.
